Thanks to the team at Beverly-Grant, construction at Joy’s House continues to move forward, and exciting progress is happening both inside and outside the building.
Inside, the first coat of paint has now been completed throughout the building, with the fitness room being the only space still awaiting its first coat. The bathrooms are also taking shape, with all tile installation now complete. In the kitchen, range hoods have been installed, bringing the commercial kitchen one step closer to completion. Flooring installation will begin soon throughout the remainder of the building, adding another major finishing touch.
Outside, crews are actively installing the roof, with gutters scheduled to be installed next week once roofing is complete. The smoker’s canopy is also nearing completion, adding another important outdoor feature to the campus.
Utility work continues to make steady progress as well. Joy’s House now has temporary permanent power, and crews are preparing to tie the building’s water service into the main line.
Every week brings Joy’s House one step closer to opening its doors and providing survivors and their children with a safe place to rebuild their lives.
